In this class, you will be making a sterling silver band ring with a bronze spinner to take home. While making this ring you will learn to use dapping punches in the making of this ring.

Trouble Shooting Session

**Students are expected to bring their own materials needed for the project they are working on**

Need to get a project done that is just not working out for you? Unsure of how to proceed? Let me help you trouble shoot to get that work done. Have some ideas, but not sure if they will work? Bring those in too! If you have specific questions on what you need to bring with you, please don't hesitate to message me. I'm also the Steward this evening, so it would only be a drop-in fee of $6 to continue working till 9pm!

Tab Setting
Friday, Sept 20th, 5pm-9pm *New Extended Time*

Materials kit $30

This type of setting will give you a bit of a break from the smaller things in life :) This is an alternative setting that can be used for a cabochon stone. You will be using your creativity to build a setting that will allow you to see more of your stone than a bezel setting. You will be challenged but excited at the possibilities!

Materials kit will include:
- practice plate to work on
- 0.8mm drill bit
- pack of #3/0 saw blades
- cabochon to set (Feel free to bring one if you happen to have something specific you would like to work with.)

Tube Setting

Materials Kit $40

Wanting to add faceted gems to your work and not sure how to do it? This method of setting is a step up from bezel setting but still quite accessible. You will learn how to cut a seat for the stone and set a faceted stone in a tube setting you will be soldering to your practice plate. This kind of setting can be used in many different ways due to its ease of making and adaptability. You will be surprised by how quickly it works!
Material kits will include:
- 5pcs of 3mm clear Cubic Zirconia
- 5pcs of sterling silver tubing
- practice plate to solder settings to
- 0.8mm drill bit
- 3mm setting bur
- 2.7mm ball bur
- 3" medium solder wire

Ring with Tube Setting

You will be making a sterling silver ring with a tube setting to take home. All tools required will be provided. If you have never done a tube setting before, I would highly recommend taking the Tube Setting Class earlier in the day.

Gem Trees  **New Class**
Friday,  Sept 27th, 6pm-9pm

I will be providing you with various stone chips and wire to make your own gem tree to take home. I will also be providing you with epoxy and a rock base to complete the project. This will be a nice size that could easily be put on a bookcase or small shelf.

Lapidary Basics

Have you wanted to give cutting your own cabochons a try? For this workshop I will take you through the steps of trimming down a slab on the trim saw to grinding your rough shape, to final polish. I will also show you a short cut to making round cabochons...

Ring w/ Cab Setting **New Class!**

Open Back Pendant Setting (*New Longer Time*)

This is an alternative setting that can be used for a cabochon stone. This kind of setting will be ideal for larger stones that you might not want to cover the back with silver. You will build a setting that allows you to see more of your stone than a traditional bezel setting. You will be challenged but excited at the possibilities! Please bring your own cabochon to set (There will be options available as well for purchase.)
