The CRLC offers member-led instructional classes to its membership. Classes vary, with many members retired or active professionals in a wide range of topics and skills. CRLC-hosted classes are for Calgary Rock & Lapidary Club, Alberta Federation of Rock Clubs and Gem, Mineral Foundation Canada members. Non-members are required to become a member first.

Beginner Lapidary
This one day group class is booked at your request, from 10:00 to 3:00 on weekends or weekdays. Contact us.
The class will include the basic use of the CRLC lapidary machines required to get you started on polishing your treasure chest of slabs, rocks and stones into lovely domed cabochons or other shapes. Your instructor will show you how to make good choices in what you choose to cab and why. Please come prepared to get a “little” dirty, bring a lunch and most importantly your love of rocks.
